Roosterkoek (version two)

Ingredients

  • 2 cupsself-raising flour
  • ½ tspsalt
  • 2 Tbspsugar
  • 2 Tbspmargarine or oil
  • 200mllukewarm water(~⅞ cup)

Method

  1. 01

    Sift dry ingredients together.

  2. 02

    Add margarine/oil and mix.

  3. 03

    Add water and mix.

  4. 04

    Knead dough for ± 5 minutes.

  5. 05

    Cut into blocks and press slightly flat.

  6. 06

    Braai (grill) on moderate coals.
